Title: Age of humanity acording to Islam?
Post by: scusemyenglish on May 18, 2016, 01:51:37 PM
Salam aylikoum.

Can we know the age of humanity if we add intervals between all prohets/messengers ? Like jewish and Christians did.?

What is the view of Authentic Islam?

In fact I say that because I have find that in Shia frenche website. withc suggest that humanity have 7000 years.

See. http://www.islamquest.net/fr/archive/question/fa2369

they defame sahaba mostly Omar and  I think this website is near of Iran .

see the answer of their "imam"

1000 years between Noh and Abraham

All the narrations of "intervals" between prophets are shaky and unreliable and one cannot deduct the age of humanity based on them.

And Above narations of intervals between prophète there is no other proof?

I think for the age of  hearth is the same case. Sholars like Ibn kathir has said we can't know the age of hearth contrary to jewish.

I heard from a scholar that the difference Prophet Adam (as) and Prophet Muhammad (sawas) is 10,000 years. Again this was about 12 years ago.
