What's `Eid al-Zahra'? Her birthday?

That's what I thought also, that it's her birth date until I checked this on a shia site,

the 9th of Rabee’ al-Awwal is also known as Eid-e-Zahra (a.s) meaning the festival of Fatima al-Zahra (a.s), because 3 to 4 years after the tragedy of Karbala, it was on this day that joy and happiness was restored in the family of Ahlul-Bayt (a.s). From the tragedy of Karbala in 61 A.H. till this day, the family members of the Holy Prophet (saww) had continuously mourned and grieved the martyrdom of Imam al-Husayn (a.s).

And ALLAH knows best

No, it's the first day she smiled after the tragedy of Karbala.  It is also the day that `Umar died.

Ugh, such a disgusting day that was, the day some Persian Majoosi murdered around seven people in the mosque.

I agree with you.  I have a couple friends that celebrate the death days of people like `Umar and `Aisha and I think it's ridiculous.  We shouldn't celebrate death.

But on the other hand, the shrine of Abu Lulu does look cool.  Too bad it houses a murderer.

So, she came back to life twice to merely smile when these events came to pass? Interesting.

Funnily, you admit it is wrong to celebrate death yet you confirmed this Eid al-Zahra is to commemorate the death of Umar (RA).
