Well, moving away from the Shi'i-Sunni discussions, who are your favorite Sahabis?
Mine would be Abu Dharr (rah).
-
Hard choice, but I gotta pick Umar Ibn Al Khattab Ra
-
Abu Bakr would be first, `Umar maybe a close second.
-
Imam Abu Bakr(ra)
-
At number two I have, is Ammar ibn Yasir (ra). And at number three I have Salman Al-Farsi (ra).
-
1) hazrath Abu bakr siddique khlafatul rasul saw
2) Ameer ul maumineen hazrath umar al farukh ra
3) Ameer ul maumineen hazrath uthman ghani dhul nurain ra
4) Ameer ul maumineen hazrath Ali karamullahu wajha ra
The ones chosen as leaders by the maumineen

The title should be who are your top 10 sahaba. That would be really interesting lol
-
In the words of the Prophet (saws),
"Aisha, abuha, and 'Umar" (paraphrased from hadeeth).

That's a good one.
1) Abu Dharr Al-Ghiffari (ra)
2) Ammar ibn Yassir (ra)
3) Salman Al-Farsi (ra)
4) Al-Miqdad (ra)
5) Hudhayfa (ra)
6) Bilal (ra)
7) Jabir ibn Abdillah (ra)
8) Abu Amra (ra)
9) Abu Sasan (ra)
10) Shatira (ra)

How prominent were the last 3?

If I were to be honest with you I don't know the much. But it seems some hadiths from the Imams have the Imams praising them, and that's enough for me.

Hmmm
Out of all the sahaba your list includes spurious names lol
Shi'ism in a nitshell= all sahaba except few went astray

Many went astray, but some came back to the straight path. Also, we obviously respect the martyrs who died in the early wars, especially the shuhada of Badr, salumu Allahi alayhim.

Hamzah ibn Abdul Mutallib
I know speculation is not encouraged, but I sometimes wonder how things would go down would he outlive the Prophet saws. I wonder who would be the most prominent member of Banu Hashim, him or Ali and how things would unfold during Saqifah and so on and what he would do and how Ali, Abu Bakr and others would take it.

Nice point! I didn't mention the Sahabis who died before the Prophet (saww) did, but yes, if I did, then Hamza (ra) would be the top.
The lion of Allah and His Messenger.

I see your list not including Hamzah or Ibn `Abbas, I remind you that "companion" includes ANYBODY who accompanied the Prophet (saw), daughters, wives, cousins, neighbors, friends etc... We're speaking linguistically here, not Istilahiyyan.

Then you can add the Prophet's (saw) adopted son too, Zayd died early.

The 12er Shia view on the sahaba evolved through time.

Thanks bro. My intention was not to add those who were martyred or died before Islam, and also Banu Hashim.
