Title: the fraud of eclipses, for attention of zulfiqar
Post by: Ibn Taymiyya on April 30, 2019, 06:54:20 PM
Asalamu alaikum
though i came to this forum to educate myself in shia related issues, i however found some threads which refreshed my memories  of long left engagements with qadyanis. i found this brother zulfiqar has something to say about the prophecy of eclipses
the basic argument as qadyanis like to put it
[qoute]
The prophecy regarding eclipses is given in the following Hadith (i.e. Sayings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad(sa)):

“For our Mahdi [Spiritual Reformer] there are two Signs which have never occurred before since the creation of the heavens and the earth, namely, the moon will be eclipsed on the first night in Ramadhan [i.e., on the first of the nights on which a lunar eclipse can occur] and the Sun will be eclipsed on the middle day of Ramadhan [i.e., on the middle day on which a solar eclipse can occur] and these Signs have not happened since the creation of the heavens and the earth”

now let me produce our objections
1. it isnt a hadith in the ist place so why did you lie upon prophet s.a.w, dont you know the consequence of that is hell fire. we will talk about this ist and only then subsequent points dealt with

i hope you will come along with the reasoning of the sort imam zain al aabideen is a descendant of Muhamad s.a.w, and this being a prophecy regarding unseen has to be from prophet s.a.w,i could have let you play this trick but mirza sahab wont. we have this passage from mirza sahab
"the visions of the saints of old, have established it conclusively the mehdi will come in 14th century and in punjab"
thus according to your own standards visions of saints can also represent ghayb, and nobodies vision or interpretation is hujjah upon us thus the question remains how do you know that this is a hadeeth in first place
