Salaam guys, I noticed this wasn't talked about outside of SC and Farsi news, so Furkan and I thought it'd be cool to do a mini refutation to Press TV's and Jafaria News article about this.
Some issues with Sheikh Sankoh Muhammadi:
*he says he's both a Shia and a Maliki and a Mufti towards sunnis (shias can't be muftis) while being a shia https://youtu.be/i56JhvEwH3s?t=20s

*The fact that Dalil Boubakeur is the official Mufti of France (not the top mufti of many muftis).
*The idea that this guy's supposed to be the senior of multiple muftis, but didn't know about Karbala.

lol @ their use of Onion articles.
What I understand from the video is that he says he is Shia and Sunni etc meaning both are Islamic. Some Muslims make statements like these for the sake of "Unity". Nothing about visiting Karbala and discovering Ahlulbayt and other stuff mentioned in those articles.

This is a similar case as portraying Tijani as a sunni scholar and him becoming a shia.
I litterally couldn't find ANYTHING on google about this so called mufti of muftis. I even tried looking it up in french and all I found was this bullshit of converting to shiism.

Never heard of him and there doesn't seem to be any mention of him online except for this news report. The fact that he's saying he's a Shia and a Maliki makes no sense from a Shia stand-point, I also like the Iranian flag next to him in this interview:
So it seems, either this entire news report is fabricated, and we know this for a fact because when someone of this status converts to Shiasm the Shia TV channels would interview him day and night, like they did with Tijani or `Isam al-`Imad, or the man is real but he isn't a Shia and they twisted his hippy words about unity between all sects.

All in all, it seems he's a nobody and what they claimed to him from status seems fake.
Suddenly and out of nowhere, he becomes "Top French Shia cleric":

When the heck did he have time to become "Top French Shia cleric" ? I thought he just converted recently while at 68 years of age, and how can the "Top French Shia cleric" be "Maliki" in Fiqh???
Then at the same time he is described as "Top French Sunni mufti embraces Shia Islam"

So he's Top Sunni and Shia Mufti at the same time? He must be a genius, all of this and he doesn't even know Arabic, I wonder what books he read since 99% of Islamic books are in Arabic.
He says:
"He also asked that Iraq's senior Shia cleric Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani be informed of his embracing Shia Islam and plans to show its true reality to the world."
We're still waiting for him to show us the reality of Shiasm and reveal it to the world, as we haven't heard anything from this guy since this lonely article was posted around 4 years ago.

If shiaism is the 5th madhab then how come ive never seen any news of scholar from 1 Sunni madhab embrace another Sunni madhab?
Its like admitting that they have different religion.

I live in France and i swear that this guy is not the head of the "Fatwa Center in France" because this fawta center doesn't exist at all ! He doesnt even know to speak in arabic and they claim that he's the head of the sunni scholars in France ?! lolz

The fact that Dalil Boubakeur is the official Mufti of France (not the top mufti of many muftis).
Dalil Boubakeur is not a mufti, he's just the president of the grand mosquée de Paris but he's not a mufti nor an imam. Many muslim here do not like him because he's the puppet of the french government.

Suppose even a real Mufti were to convert... I would say from what I know that the necessarily knowable matters in Islam where we and the Twelvers disagree cannot be changed (especially those concerned about Allah the Exalted), since these are not even based on whether a Prophet is sent to mankind, much less whether a Mufti or even every Mufti changes his religion.
