Title: Umar Series
Post by: Furkan on January 13, 2015, 04:38:40 AM
Assalamu alaykoum.

I recently started watching Umar series ( I assume you know it).
I woud like to know if the storyline is accurate? Are they relying on authentic narrations for their scenes?

Authentic narrations say he was dark skinned.

Oh hmm and how about the events taking place?

For example I tought that Rasullulah (saw) and Abu Bakr ra did hijra alone on their way to yathrib, but in the serie there were 2 more. I think Abu bakrs daughter and son

Hahaha... Actually if you check `Ali's actor he looks nothing like the description in the books.

As for the events they're fairly accurate, obviously not 100%, between 85-90% though.

This is correct, Abu Bakr asked his family to help them out along the way. The narrations are in Sahih books check em out.

Hmm okay thanks.

If I'm not mistaken Ali was quite short/average height, had a thick beard and massive forearms.

I don't think this picture is real, it's a fake for the following reason:

The face looks photographic, this isn't drawn it's an actual photograph.

They said this was etched into deer skin, I don't think this level of detail can be etched into deer skin.

Art at the time was not this developed, `Ali died in the 7th century A.D, this is Coptic art from that period:

Finally, the picture of `Ali which is being circulated, says at the bottom that it is an image of a drawing on Gazelle skin from Roma in Italy, meaning this isn't the original, one should seek the original to verify.

Didn't I tell you it was fake like every other Shia belief, they made another version using the same fake technique. This one has something different written on it.

Hahahhaha. They even don't respect copyrights.

Hani, were the 2 family members also in the cave with the prophet (saw) and Abu Bakr (ra) or outside when the quraish reached them.

Asma' would go to cook food and deliver it to them in their hiding spot. Her brother would visit them at night to tell them the news of the Kouffar in Madinah then return.

Qatar is making a movie about Prophet صلی الله علیه و سلم (a trilogy) and another movie about Ottoman Caliph Sultan Al Fatih.
