Salaam Alaikum,
Sorry if this was pre-posted, someone shared this on Facebook saying that the only way forward is an Iraqi 3 state solution. If someone could translate the rest, that'd be awesome.

A leader of one of Iraq's largest militias:
"My loyalty lies solely with Ayt Khamenei, I take my orders directly from him. If he commands me to do something against Iraq's interest, I will do it."

would seem to indicate that clerics such as Muqtada al-Sadr are evidence of a rift among Shia clerics. However I see it as above, that 'Money talks!', and that whatever influence the other clerics may have, Khameneists know that Iraqi Shias are dirt-poor and need handouts from somewhere just to survive, and the regime in Iran will take care to fill the ranks of Iraqi Shiaism with its ideologically docile puppets of the Khameneist regime. (It would also show that Iran prefers the Shias all over the world to remain on the precipice of poverty and not develop their own robust politico-economic initiatives, then they would have no choice but to receive its handouts, both monetary and ideological).
