Cohesion of Sunni Responses Compared to the Varying Responses of the Shi'ah

If you debate Sunnis you find that they all have very cohesive similar responses to Shi'i allegations. Whereas as almost every Shi'i has his own different response or explanation to Sunni allegations. For example:
Why did 'Umar marry Umm al-Kulthum?

al-Qatrah: it was forced

Wilayat.net: It was a different Umm al-Kulthum

ShiaChat user: it happened but Umm al-Kulthum hated 'Umar and thought he was a pervert

But let's say you ask a Sunni about Mu'awiyah's rebellion against 'Ali?

Gift2Shias: Mu'awiyah wished to avenge 'Uthman, he saw 'Ali as his superior and he didn't desire Khilafah. Mu'awiyah did not intend for fighting to break out. However he was wrong to do this and 'Ali was in the clear right

Go on any Sunni forum and you won't find anything that differs from that. The cohesiveness of Sunni responses and the varying contradictory Shi'i responses is Hujjah in itself.

Shia even have different answers to something which has been given answer for by Allah. Have you seen this one?

No I haven't but thanks for sharing Barak Allahu Fikum

Interesting point. I have another observation. It seems as though Shias that debate will come up with arguments that will destroy their other foundations, while Sunnis take care to not go against established foundations when answering criticisms.

The most notable culprit of this is Murtadha Al Askari. He destroyed one of the main rijal books and weakened hundreds of hadith chains because of his reactionary views to Sunnis.

Good point.  I experienced this firsthand when discussing Fadak.  Shias claim Fatima [ra] should have inherited Fadak and when I would show them the verse from Surah Al-Hashr (59) verse 7, which prevents Fay from having exclusive owner(s), they would then bring narrations showing that Fadak was gifted to Fatima [ra].  They would present Surah Al-Isra (17) (or Bani Israil) verse 26 to support their "gift" claim.  When I would counter that by stating that the surah was revealed in Mecca, they would quote Surah Ar-Rum (30) verse 38.  Again, another surah revealed in Mecca while it is common knowledge that Fadak fell in Muslim hands well after the migration to Madina.

When all else would fail, I would be asked to present a Qur'anic verse to prove that Prophets [asws] do not leave inheritance.  They would reject Shia and Sunni hadiths, stating exactly what Abu Bakr [ra] quoted from the Prophet [saw] to Fatima [ra], in favor of a Qur'anic verse.  Then I would remind them that they cannot find one such verse regarding Imamat either so why adopt a narrow view when approaching Fadak and Prophetic inheritance.

All in all, as it has already been said, they are inconsistent and when arguing for one of their concoctions, they end up doing more damage to the rest of their imaginary tales.
