It's not about defeating or winning. It's about whether or not the haq has been shown.

Same thing effectively.

We couldn't care less if you leave, the people of goodness are apparent from their actions and behavior.

As for the "evidence" I checked the link, it says "During Rasul-Allah's (saw) time."

I asked where did you get that she did Mut`ah after Rasul-Allah (saw) passed away as you said above.

Hani, you are too nice. Since when shiism is based on clear evidence?

I erased his post but I did answer him, if you go back you'll see I answered it. I said researchers differ on whether this this attribution is correct, and those who do believe it won't say it's prostitution because Asma' never did it for money or business and because it simply was allowed as Rukhsah, anything allowed is not considered Zinah, anything forbidden is Zinah.

The article on the twelvershia.net site shows that it was not Nikah Mut'ah but Mut'ah Hajj.

Secondly, Mut'ah is not prostitution, since Mut'ah had rules. Allah - praise be to Him - never made prostitution halal. Anyone that says it is prostitution likens it to similarities, yet, similarities don't make it the same.

Farid,

What's the difference in the bit bolded? And, the Mutah the Shias engaged in today is close to prostitution is it not?

Mut'ah of Hajj is form of the pilgrimage in which one performs both the Omra and Hajj. Google for details.

I will, Insh'Allah.

The reason I was asking is because Mutah was forbidden by the Prophet (SAW) during Khaibar which, took place 7AH. Any Haj expedition was 9AH when Abu Bakr (RA) was the Ameer. So, if she did engage in any form of Mutah then didn't she disobey the Prophet (SAW)?

Elaborate.

mutah al hajj also called Hajj Al-Tamatt’u means entering into Ihram for the Umrah, taking Ihram off after performing the Umrah, and then entering into Ihram again for the Hajj...

for further details ask sheikh google....

I pretty much get all that considering, I've just come back from performing Haj.

I'll reasearch the rest.

I looked into the matter of Asma' the wife of al-Zubayr and the Hadith about the Mut`ah, turns out I was wrong and Farid's opinion seems to be quite solid, Asma' did not mention in her narrations the Mut`ah of women but she only mentioned the Mut`ah of Hajj, the mistake appears to be from abu Dawoud.

Salaams,

It's been fun hanging out here, but I really must leave now.  My studies are calling to me and life's kinda hectic.  Thanks for all of you that put up with my nonsense.  I had some interesting conversations...

For Ebn Hussein: Ya Ali (as) Madad!!

wa alaykum assalaam.

I will miss you :/

BTW: did Iran abduct Ebn Hussein or what ?
Before Qazî Mihemed, President of the first kurdish Republic Mahabad was hanged the iranian judge asked:

“last words?”

Qazî: “I thank Allah: even in death he put my shoes above your heads”
