HOW did You discover Shiisme?
« on: February 12, 2016, 07:14:27 PM »
When I say discover i don't want say "heard About" but rather How/when/where have you really understood what is shiisme? And what was your attitude after that...

I begin,

Me it's during the last eid el fitr . It's recent. I  was looking quietly a documentary about  coran on a public channel.

After, I have understood that the author was talking about "various coran". coran of Ibn Massud etc... and most of all coran of Ali...

Of course I did some research and I have seen that it's whatever...

But the shock for me it's that it's was the first time I heard what is shiissme in reality... Falsification of coran...

It's was a double shock because after I appreciated shiisme... . but when I have understood their creed ...

Then, I discovered the rest ... sahaba, Aisha, Omar,  And OF COURSE on Abou Hourayra  ;D  ... while the classic

I felt betrayed me... I say to myself "what is this ugly religion?" It was and it is always the SHOCK!  It is still amazing.  I still shake my head. It's incredible....

At the beggining when I knew nothing about shias  I thought it was à sympatic religion around Ali, very kind etc... but I could have imagined that!

etc etc... And you what is your experience? How did you discover Shiisme?

Abou Hourayra narrated that the messenger saws said:

"“There will come to the people years
of treachery (...) the Ruwaibidhah will decide matters.”
It was said

 'Who are the Ruwaibidhah?'

The Prophet replied:

 “Vile and
ignorant men who will speak in the affairs of the people.”

I grew up with them around me.

I first realized the difference between them when I was nine years old. A friend asked me if I was Sunni or Shia. I didn't know what to answer him with since I had no idea what these two things were. He then accused me of being Shia. =)

After school, I went back home and asked my dad what I was. He said: "There is no difference between Sunnis and Shias... but we are Sunni!"

I did not learn much about them other than observing their practices until I was eighteen when I started to look them up more and more. Like you, I was shocked to see how strange their beliefs were.

I am very glad I was not exposed to their arguments when I was younger. Perhaps I would have become a Shi'ee, since I had no knowledge back then.

One of my closest friends was Shia. Like Farid said, I really had no idea what they were until I grew up. I was around 7-8ish and I walked up to my mom and asked "What kind of muslims are so-and-so?" She said they were Shia. I asked what we were, she said we were Sunni. And then I asked who's better? And she said Shias and Sunnis are the same thing, but just very small differences. Later on, when I got more informed, I was told they curse the Sahaba Ra as well. I also got to know more of their heretical and deviant beliefs. I thought at first it was just "Wahhabi" propaganda but then after I started getting onto Q&A forums I realized that was just a hoax. I mean, I've never heard my friend curse the Sahaba, he just said Ali ra should'v been caliph.
They asked how many will be with the one I hate. I said 313

Me it's here. This movie against coran ( here this rather the refutation of the documentary) was the starting point of my descovery of shiisme...

Me  in france I have never seen shias....  I have never met them. Just at the moment on facebook. I have many friends who share movies of shia or movie of Adnan Ibrahim so I notice a psectacular propaganda toward french muslim....

Before thise documentary againste coran I knew nothing so I don't notice their propaganda . Since, it's a permanent astonishment...

I have a serious question for administrators.

You make a very good and a saving work.

But How you make psychologically? Because the wold of shiism is gloomy, dark horrific full of doubts for us.

How do you do it ?  Psychologically because refuting shiisme is very tiresome psychologicaly...

It's a serious question. psychologically speaking  how you do for be safe? with this gloomy religion of shiism ? with all their dramatic accusations against Aicha, Hafsa etc...

Working during many years in this field it's enough for become sick... How do you do?

Very true bro. Debating Shias might turn your heart into stone. That is why most people quit after a short while.

Yes but you personnaly, You are in the "first line" , how you do for deal with this situation? All day refuting them etc...

How do you deal for to be peaceful psychologicaly and for your faith?

I think the better thing is make scientifical articles more and more. Not to talk with them because they have no sens of honor. No methodology. And in this field they never stop.

There is one thing I don't understand, why shias they used pictures with magnificent  Horses??? ... Pictures with hyena would be more appropriated for them.
