Shia scholars thanked Allah for Shaykh Saduq's death - called him Kazub (liar)

It is about the belief of ibn Babawaih al-Qummi aka Shaykh Saduq about the Sahwa (forgetfulness) of the Prophet (saw) and the 'infallible' Imams.

Mirza Mohamad Tonikaboni (whom they call the complete and elite of scholars and mujtahideen) writes in his Qasasul Olama pg. 976, under the biography of Saduq after mentioning that he believed in Sahwa (forgetfulness) of Prophet (saw) and the 'infallible' Imams:

و صدوق گفته است که استاد محمد بن الولید نیز همين مذھب داشته و اگر عمرم وفا کند رساله ای در این باب خواهم نوشت و شیخ بهائی در این مقام نوشته است که حمد خدای را که عمر اورا قطع کرد و او را توفیق آن نداد که چنان کتابی بنویسد و شیخ احمد دراین مسئله گفته که صدوق در این مسئله کذوب است

Many of the scholars hold the view that the mursal ahadith of Shaikh Sadooq (ra) which he quotes directly from the Imam (as), are sahih (authentic) in sanad (chain of narration). Among the many who held this view was Ayatullah Fadil Lankarani as well.

Here, it clearly means he was a liar. The book is in Farsi and that is what it means here.

The Shia can not use that argument. That term is actually "Kathaba", different from the word used here, and it was a specific Arabic dialect among some of the Quraish 1400 years ago.
