Title: Imaan of sahaba
Post by: sahabasword on September 21, 2015, 10:03:12 PM
I was asked a question about the possibillity if sahaba becoming kaafir by a shia, he said when Moosa (as) went to speak to Allah all his companions failed in belief, if this could happen with his companions after leaving them for a short while then why can it not happen with the prophet Muhammed's companions, can someone please help me with this.

Is it possible for the companions of a prophet to leave Islam? Yes! The companions of Musa are a proof of this.

However, we do not find Allah's satisfaction for them in the Qur'an, while we find the promise of paradise for the companions of the Prophet peace be upon him.

Even if Shias want to make takfeer of some important companions, they cannot make a general takfeer, because the Qur'an goes strictly against this. It praises the Muhajireen, Ansar, the people of Badr, and the people of the Tree.

It Shias want to make takfeer of any specific person, then they need to provide evidence. As for a general takfeer, then it contradicts the Qur'an.
