Shia group accused of revenge attacks in Iraq

Shia militias fighting against the Islamic State group (IS) in Iraq have been accused of exacting revenge against Sunnis.

Kurdish fighters say the Iranian-backed Badr brigade, has carried out reprisals against villagers suspected of sheltering IS fighters.

Shia, Sunni and Peshmerga militias had agreed to fight together against IS.

Al Jazeera's Sue Turton reports from Yangija in northern Iraq.

Shouldnt the west ask, why do iraqi sunni arab prefer to be under ISIS than iraqi govt & their militia? Is it because sunni arab consider ISIS to be the lesser of 2 evils? If it is, then how can the west expect sunni arab to join & help the shia govt & their militias fighting ISIS? If the kurdish territory were also under maliki rule, theyd probably have the same grievances as sunni arab.

i guess that's the pattern bro AbuMuslim. If it was done by sunni, theyd be called terrorist, but if its done by shia militia, i doubt any of them will be tried by the shia regime. Most likely just a slap in the head, thats all.

`Iraq is a mess, and so is Syria, Yemen, Lebanon... almost everywhere Iran decides to have "interests" becomes a mess, I congratulate Sudan and Malaysia for realizing this and banning Shiasm in their purely Sunni societies.

May Allah destroy Rafidhi(Shia) terrorism and Khariji(Takfeeries) terrorism.

Of.course. IS attacked Shia because Shia have attacked Sunnis post Saddam Hussein and the Shia did this.because they were.brutally repressed.by Sunnis.before that etc. This is.a.cycle of revenge. Nobody should be shocked by this. The.people who started.this are.long dead and those who will end.it are not.yet born
