as Salam Alaykum.
I came across with some interesting information in regards to author of Yanabil Mawadda - Sulayman al-Qunduzi.
He left Balkh in 1853, and visited Najaf and Karbala, where he met Imami scholars, and as a result of such meetings, he accepted shia imam school along with some people from the delegation. {Source: Manuscript number 147, pages 1-2 - Bio of Sulayman al-Balkhi by Muhammad Tahir Tabrizi, from Museum of Mevlana, books of Abdulbaki Golpinarli. As it quoted by A.Golpinarli in his book "Mevlanadan sonra Mevlevelik - p 401}
