Peace be upon every son of Adam,
The holy month of bloodshed as one disbeliever called it, and he truly hit the mark with this name. Muharram, a blessed month for Rasul-Allah (saw) and the believers who were with him, has become a sad month of depression. As opposed to Ramadan which is a month of refraining from food, a month of working on one's own morals and manners, a month of contentment, of spending time in the mosques and increasing our spirituality, a month were fighting was prohibited, we find that Muharram is the opposite in every way.
Muharram is a month of mourning and sadness, but not for the reason that comes to your minds, the martyrdom of our beloved master al-Husayn (ra) is not a cause of sadness because the moment this believer's soul left his body, he became from the happiest men in existence, when his radiant soul reached the highest of heavens seeking its Lord, he was not disappointed nor shall he grieve.
As for us, we have every reason to grieve and every reason to mourn, we mourn this nation's condition, we mourn the dignity, the strength and the stability we once had, we mourn because of the Khawarij and the Takfeeris who are committing mass murder in the name of this religion, we mourn because of the Deviants and Fitnah mongers who bloody their heads and slap their chests to revive old grudges and light the flames of hatred, we mourn the strong pious leaders we once had, true leaders who have been replaced by modern day Pharaohs and the lowest that humanity has to offer, we mourn many things that we are reminded of in this sad depressing month...
My advice for all of you is to work on your selves before advising others, help yourselves before helping others, because our scholars repeat: "The one who does not possess a thing, cannot offer it to others."
