Saad Hariri resigned on November 4th, citing fears of assassination and complaining of Iranian influence within the country, via Hezbollah. In Saudi Arabia, he's been accused of being detained by the Saudi authorities and many are claiming the message he gave was coerced. Saudis are denying he is under house arrest and Adel Jubeir said it was nonsense to think what he said was coerced. Any thoughts, comments, ideas, concerns? Any Lebanese users and their perspectives would be helpful. What are the possible implications, if any, could be viable in regards to the already present tensions between Lebanon's Sunnis and Shias?

I'm part Lebanese for one and Saudi but most of my family members were immigrants from neighboring countries like Lebanon, Egypt, and Iraq. I've heard many speculations regarding this some say it's because he had relations with Iran as only the previous day he met with Iranian diplomats on an agreement some others say it was because Saad Hariri stole money from Saudi that was supposed to be given to the Lebanese government but as long as he was prime minister he had immunity unti he was forced to resign by Saudi. I think as my own personal theory he's trying to cause uproar like what happened when his father was assassinated there by putting Hezbollah in a difficult position and will be forced to release themselves of the power they took.

I for one do not but Hariris reason for quitting it seems like he was forced as why would his resignation and speech be recorded on a Saudi owned tv channel Al Arabiya before any Lebanese channel especially his own channel a Future TV. And if Iran or Hezbollah really wanted him gone it wouldn't have been very hard since they are the most powerful force and organization in Lebanon, they even were allowed to start a devasting war with Israel with out the governments consent. If they wanted him dead he would have ended up just like his father and it wouldn't have taken this long.

Saudi unnecessary escalations after failiure in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and even against their Qatari brothers.

The Saudis and their American/Israeli masters are cooking up something against Lebanon.

Also Lebanese Christians both Maronite and Orthodox and other sects of Christianity in Lebanon and even Druze have nothing against Israel it's because of the Sunnis and Shias that we are enemies. If the Christians packed up and left it would become a battle ground of a war between Sunnis and Shias like what they do everywhere.
