00:27 "Husayn, 'Ali's son, killed by Sunnis"

00:28 Bunch of guys holding up a picture of al-Husayn, caption "Followers of 'Ali"

00:30 Sunnis have a bunch of interpretations. One of them is ISIS. Al Qaeda. Wahhabis. Sufis

-----

Gotta hand it to the Shias, they are experts at propoganda.

Non-Muslims actually think the Sunni/Shia split started when the Prophet (saw) died.

What do you do against such a wall of ignorance?

This is a dirty propaganda against mainstream Islam.

Same thing with the Israeli/Palestinian narrative: The Israelis were always the better dressed, better spoken ones, and the Palestinians could not even make a sentence in English without tripping all over themselves (no blame on the Palestinians, their ancestors had not lived in Europe, etc.) - so the mindset was set at an early stage; now the situation in the media is somewhat more balanced in terms of image but the Israelis have "created" so many facts on the ground that it is impossible to dislodge the truth one sees in front of one's face

It is still early days of the Iraq/Syria wars, we have to think how we want things to look after 6 or 7 decades in the media and on the ground, with one side blasting us for being terrorists and our representatives meekly agreeing, or do we want something else.

I was watching Bill Maher's (scum) show, and they were saying that Islam is a terrorist religion, then one guest said we can't blame the entire religion of this, because Islam has two interpretations, the Sunni one and the Shia. Then they all agreed with this guy.

Meaning, they're describing 90% of Muslims as terrorists and excluding the Shia. (Because Shia NEVER posed any threat to them other than screaming anti-Imperialistic chants).

What do you do against such a wall of ignorance?

You use that against them cause 12ers or Rafidah did not exist in the time of the first 3 Imams. The 12er sect  according to them was secretly passed down by the 5th and 6th imams to a few chosen students ie Hisham ibn Hakam, Zurara etc.
