From what I understand, Wahhabis are a sub-sect of Salafis.  People like Ahmed ibn Hanbal and Ibn Taymiyyah were Salafi giants back in the day.  The Wahhabis are followers of Muhammad ibn `Abd'ul Wahhab who is far more contemporary than the earlier Salafi scholars.

it doesnt matter who or what is considered wahabi. This thread is about Khamenei putting his foot in his mouth.

Shia are using colonial tactic :D

When a Sunni opposes Khamenei they are called Wahabis. When a 12er opposes Khamenei they are accused of working for the west.

not just khamenei. Anyone who reveals their dirty beliefs are called wahabi, zionist, cia etc :)
