Title: The Amman Message
Post by: Hani on February 04, 2015, 09:10:51 PM
Salam,

I was reading the contents of the Amman message from their official website as well as reading the names of those in attendance (which included the king of Saudi and Wahhabi/Salafi scholars).

What I find weird is how the Shia like to endorse this "Amman message" especially since:

[They specifically recognized the validity of all 8 Mathhabs (legal schools) of Sunni, Shi'a and Ibadhi Islam; of traditional Islamic Theology (Ash'arism); of Islamic Mysticism (Sufism), and of true Salafi thought, and came to a precise definition of who is a Muslim.]

In other words they endorse Saudi Salafism which is Wahhabism and the Message also endorses the Madhab of the Khawarij who hate `Ali and consider him a corrupt apostate.

In other words, anyone who endorses the Amman message, must also endorse the above sects as Muslims and treat them like brothers.

Yeah but they also view Uthman in the same light so maybe the rawafid think the hate cancels each other out.  ;D

How they unite , when twelvers says believing in Imamah is part of Imaan!
About the "Sunni" people who were part of this-
* Tahir-ul_qadri, the king of Bidah in Pakistan, the dancing master, reads shahadah to deadbody etc.
* Nazim haqqani,  one of the most controversial sufi shaykhs

The point of the Amman message is to not do takfir and leave each other be. Clearly, you missed the point. You must be more knowledgeable than all the scholars listed there.
