12th Imam Sips Your Coffee and Solves Your Problems

Here is a story of an Iraqi 12er Shia who faced 4 problems. The problems were:
1) Heart Problems
2) Unable to get married
3) Business Failure
4) His Prayers weren't being answered

He went to a mosque on a Tuesday and  made prayer. He became regular at making prayer and after 39 Tuesdays he decided to make himself coffee. Then a young man came and asked him for his coffee. As  the young man took a sip he returned the coffee and gave it to the Iraqi 12er to drink it. When the 12er Shia drank it, his heart problems started going away. Then the young man told him his other problems will be solved. After that the 12er Shia did ziyraat and sent salaam on all the imams. Then when he sent it to the 12th imam, the young man replied and disappeared.

Huh? I don’t get this Mahdi guy.........first of all he runs and hides cos he is scared he will get killed  and he is the one guy who will save islam at the end.......,then he only pops out when someONE is need of help meaning in health???

Is he a healer or something???

That is just stupid if you really think about it, why pray to Allah swt for health when you can just believe in the last Mahdi and he will cure you if you ask him??

One rather interesting point to make here is that in a reliable letter of Imam al-Mahdi to his final representative prior to his major Ghaybah, he emphatically declares that anyone who has claimed to meet him is a liar.

Now, how do people try to reconcile this, with the very vague hearsay and sometimes highly questionable conclusions from unclear events? They say that the Imam meets with people but they are not aware it was him until he has gone, and so the Imam meant the people will not meet him and know it is him.

When you investigate the reports of people meeting him, many are based on scholars or layman of the distant past, or in the early last century. It is difficult to trace the scholars claiming this of themselves, and it often has come from a chain of what i like to term 'Chinese whispers'. People then just repeat the same story, and nobody really knows if the story is true or even accurate.

Other reports we can accurately trace to the person saying it are hardly evidence of meeting with the Imam. Someone claims an unknown person helped them during their time of need, and behaved in a more helpful way than what the average person would. They then lost touch with the person, and concluded it must have been the Imam. Allah only knows how they can make such a leap to conclude this.

Ultimately, these reports are not from the fundamentals of Shia Islam, and we don't have to accept any of them. I personally don't believe them, nor deny them, and leave the matter to Allah. I would never narrate them to others, and when they are brought forth would approach them with skepticism.

An Objection

There is a seeming contradiction in the Tawqee’. On one hand we see that if a person claims to meet Imam az-Zaman (a.s.), he is a liar. However, on the other hand, there are numerous incidents and events reported in books where not only scholars, but also ordinary people have met Imam (a.t.f.s.) and have reported such meetings.

Allamah Majlisi (r.a.) has replied to the above objection at two places in his book, Bihar al-Anwar. His reply is beneficial even to the scholars after him. We clarify his position on the above issue as follows:

1.   As reported by illustrious scholars, one reason could be that the one who claims to have met Imam (a.t.f.s.) would use this claim to place himself as a special deputy and cheat the people.  Since there are several incidents of people having met Imam (a.t.f.s.), it is clear that the scholars believe that the Tawqee’ does not reject the possibility of meeting and seeing Imam (a.t.f.s.), it only rejects the appointment of a special deputy after Ali Ibn Muhammad Samari (r.a.).

2.   It is also possible that the one who contends to be able to see Imam (a.t.f.s.) is a liar and an impostor if he maintains that he can get a meeting with Imam (a.t.f.s.) at will. Anyone who makes such a preposterous claim in the Major Occultation is a pretender and deserves to be snubbed.

So, meeting Imam (a.t.f.s.) is not rejected outright in the Tawqee’. It is just that in the Major Occultation, meeting Imam (a.t.f.s.) voluntarily is not possible. Rather Imam (a.t.f.s.) will meet whosoever he wants and hence, the choice of the meeting lies with Imam az-Zaman (a.t.f.s.) and not with the people.

Lol this is pretty funny, it's nowonder shia end up with very stupid beliefs and practices

Anyone can claim to have met the world's greatest hide and seek champion but noone has any proof and noone can outright reject the people making the claim either.
