Title: Umar (RA) marrying the daughter of ALI (RA)

وفاطمة بنت رسول الله ـ  ـ تزوجها علي بن أبي طالب، فولدت له الحسن والحسين، ومحسنا – مات صغيرا – وأم كلثوم، تزوجها عمر بن الخطاب، وزينب، تزوجها عبد الله بن جعفر بن أبي طالب.

I know this is common knowledge.
But whats the take of the Shia on this point.
Does any one have more info on it?

They have all types of comebacks.

They say that it is similar to Lot offering his daughters to the homosexuals. Some didn't find that answer as sufficient, so they said that all of these narrations are fabricated.

My favorite excuse is that she wasn't Ali's daughter, but rather, it was a female Jinn disguised as such.
