^This biased Rawafid will find ALWAYS a way to degrade ANY Sahabi (except a handful). They will say that Abu Sufyan intended nothing but evil and that he was a Munafiq blah blah blah. Anyway, that narration is in our books as well and in that case Ali INDEED did not trust Abu Sufyan and Ali INSISTED that Abu Bakr DESERVES to be the Khalifah (as per our narrations). This completely destroys one of the biggest Shia excuse ever, namely that Ali had nobody as supporters, no army, nobody whatsoever to start a war against Abu Bakr (why an infallible Imam with all sorts of divine powers and support from Allah needs an army is another flaw ...), yet here we have Abu Sufyan (a Quraishi) from the most powerful tribe of the Arabs whereas Abu Bakr (a Quraishi from the very tiny taym sub branch) was literally a nobody and could have never stayed for a DAY if the Bani Hashim and Aal Abu Sufyan would oppose him! Of course they did NOT oppose him, nobody revolted EXCEPT the Murtads whom the SAHABA fought against (the irony is that the Rafidah call the Sahaba murtadds/apostates).
