Why is it that Al-Bukhari resorted to codes and encryptions in his narrating of narrations?
-
I have an answer to this. I actually wrote it in Arabic and was planning to translating it for the website.
Before I provide it though, do you take this as evidence that he isn't a reliable person? If so, would you consider top Shia scholars as unreliable if they made distortions in the same way?

No, I don't take it as evidence that he wasn't reliable. Atleast not the one with "kadha wa kadha" regarding Ibn Umar's narration. But there is another clip of another narration, the Shaykh mentions, which I am trying to find (I've watched it before).
I think that one is very shaky, insha Allah I will find it.
It was about a hadith in Bukhari, Muslim and Musnad Ahmad, perhaps you know of the hadith in question.

Nah. I'll upload my response after translating it inshallah. It might be in the list. It contains around twelve accusations.
