Here is what it says in the tafsir of Imam Zayd.

What is [the matter] with you [that you are] two groups concerning the hypocrites, while Allah has made them fall back [into error and disbelief] for what they earned. Do you wish to guide those whom Allah has sent astray? And he whom Allah sends astray - never will you find for him a way [of guidance].(Quran 4:88)

Imam Zayd (peace be upon him) said "Allah has made them fall back" means that Allah returns them back based upon their constant reoccurring hypocrisy thus they are the cause of their own destruction.

Sorry for the off topic but apparently.

- For him those who made big sins his neither Muslim and neither no-muslim.

- Apparently he was influenced by Wassil Ibn Ata the mutazilla.

- it's true that Murtalizza was founded by the grand son of Ali? (may be that would explain the fact that Abbasside was mutazilla at the biginning).

How we can explain that...

Abou Hourayra narrated that the messenger saws said:

"“There will come to the people years
of treachery (...) the Ruwaibidhah will decide matters.”
It was said

 'Who are the Ruwaibidhah?'

The Prophet replied:

 “Vile and
ignorant men who will speak in the affairs of the people.”

.

That's actually closer to what the ahadith state. Hassan al Basri in reality got it wrong.

Drinks – Sahih Bukhari: Volume 7, Book 69, Number 484
Narrated Abu Huraira (raa): The Prophet (saws) said, "An adulterer, at the time he is committing illegal sexual intercourse is not a believer; and a person, at the time of drinking an alcoholic drink is not a believer; and a thief, at the time of stealing, is not a believer."

Ibn Shihab (raa) said: ‘Abdul Malik bin Abi Bakr bin ‘Abdur-Rahman bin Al-Harith bin Hisham (raa) told me that Abu Bakr (raa) used to narrate that narration to him on the authority of Abu Huraira (raa).

He used to add that Abu Bakr (raa) used to mention, besides the above cases, "And he who robs (takes illegally something by force) while the people are looking at him, is not a believer at the time he is robbing (taking)

Volume 7, Book 69, Number 481 :
Narrated by Ibn 'Umar

Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever drinks alcoholic drinks in the world and does not repent (before dying), will be deprived of it in the Hereafter."

This is false. They were good friends, and they exchanged knowledge, but he wasn't influenced by him.

Wasil ibn Ata learned under the grandson of Ali. Then he formulated his own school. As for the Mutazilla, the Abbasid ruler Al Masoor was a student of Wasil ibn Ata.

Rationalist, when you have said "Ahlou Lbayte had their own madhab" you thought about Zayd?
Abou Hourayra narrated that the messenger saws said:

"“There will come to the people years
of treachery (...) the Ruwaibidhah will decide matters.”
It was said

 'Who are the Ruwaibidhah?'

The Prophet replied:

 “Vile and

In the first century we had over 100 madhabs. They didn't survive till today.

Imam Zayd had his madhab, Imam Jafar had his madhab, Imam Baqir had his madhab, Imam Nafs-az-Zakiyah had his madhab etc...

Look at the translation done by the Shia translator of Nahjul Balagha. He has translated the word ‘wali’ as friend.

Brother do these two words "wali" and "mawla" have the same meaning? Is it okay if one says "Whom i am mawla" and "whom i am wali" mean the same?

Brother, these terms have multiple meanings, and we need to see the context to know what is the appropriate meaning. As per the context of Ghadeer, the meaning of friendship is most appropriate, as explained in the article I gave you.
