First ever online shia hadith corpus

http://corpus.purifiedhousehold.com/

They also show details on chain of narrators.

It would be also interesting if twelevershia.net team include this website in their refutation section.

As a side note, as for their featured post is concerned, I think is terribly weak due to Abban bin Abi Ayash being a notable liar even in their own rijal corpus. Yet is their featured post, dont make sense.

I hope they finish it (they won't) since it'll be a disaster for them, Sunnies will be quoting left right and center. I wonder if the guy who runs it is on our forum hmm....

They copied from Wasa'il al-Shia's English translation from tashayyu.org without linking back to it

May Allah bless the brothers who are working on this project. One of the reasons Sunnis have sometimes excelled the Shi'a in English platforms is a result of little funding when compared to the billions of dollars Gulf States inject to promote Sunnism in the West.

Not sure why this website should be in the "refutation section" when it isn't even a polemical website. It would be like a Shi'i guy wanting to refute Sunnah.com

Its no excuse to blame saudi money.

Firstly saudi funding has really diminished esp after 9/11.

Secondly, unlike the saudi rulership, the Iranian government is a theocratic shia model that is hell bent on spreading shi'ism.

Up till the past decade, shia literature was more thorough ss they looked to convert sunni's and non muslims to shi'ism. Recently the sunni's have put the shia online armada down with much more detailed & coherent material online.

What about Khumms? Didn't that help promote your sect?

None of the English polemical sites get funding from Gulf states, just in case you were wondering.

May Allah bless the brothers who are working on this project. One of the reasons Sunnis have sometimes excelled the Shi'a in English platforms is a result of little funding when compared to the billions of dollars Gulf States inject to promote Sunnism in the West.

One reason is the Twelver Shia sect focuses more on spreading anti-Sunni sectarian material. Hence, you see minority Shia sect have more polemical material in English compared to Majority Sunnis.

Other reason like Hani mentioned - the more they translate their Hadiths the more they will be exposed hence they are being careful.

To ensure that this not happen they disbaled right click and copy paste feature. I bet you they wont translate books like Tahzib and Istibsar (as they will expose them badly) and never in history you will see shia hadith corpus like sunnah.com

Currently they are translating from: Amali Saduq, Mujam Ahadih al-Mutabara, Burhan fi tafsir Quran, Thawab al-amal and wasail shia.

Not from any of the four primary books.

Shias also could have easily done that if they had spent less moeny and gold on shrines and if they had utilized khums for most useful projects like this.

Its not like sunnis have an upper hand against shias in english platform. For e.g consider al-islam.org, they have translated hundreds of books from persian and arabic language (still doing) but they never realized the need or we can say never wanted to translate their four major books which are the foundation of twelver shi'ism (may be because it could be a disaster for them).

In refutation section only in case when needed. As they also have a website with articles. http://purifiedhousehold.com/

When I visited this site for the first time I noticed their featured post is terribly weak. I also contact them on their FB page and the response was:

No doubt, the hadith is weak in isnad - not only because of the chain - but because of the source. The book itself, Kitab Sulaym, has a big question mark upon it. Many popular scholars of rijal reject its hujjiyah.

This is why we have stated that it is a hadith attributed to ameer al-mu'mineen (as), and not stated it as him saying such and such - since the hadith does not reach a level that we can depend upon from a rijal POV.

In saying that, we included the hadith due to its content and the analysis of the hadith paragraph by paragraph. The content itself is verifiable via several different hadiths, varying in strength in chain, which potentially raise the level of possibility that it was said by the infallible imam (as). Some of these hadiths were mentioned in the article itself.

No doubt the guys are knowledgeable. And may Allah swt help them in making this useful project complete as soon as possible. Ameen.

This will also help sunnis alot.

So many books in english translation except the kutub e arba.
http://www.shiachat.com/forum/topic/234991340-online-english-shia-books-official-thread/

They could have easily develope a shii hadith corpus years ago.

I can't imagine them translating all their books and if they do, you can be sure there'll be several pages of footnotes trying to explain tahreef narrations and other deviant beliefs contained in it. It will be an open season for us and they'll be like sitting ducks :D
