Dabbatu’l Ard - The Beast of the Earth

Salaam.

I want to know what are the views of Ahlul Sunnah on Dabbatu’l Ard? What is he like and what would he do when he emerges from the earth? And what does authentic hadiths say about him besides being one of the Sign of the Hour.

In Al-Quran following Verse mentions him:

"And when the Word is fulfilled against them (the unjust), We shall produce from the earth a beast to (face) them: he will speak to them, for that mankind did not believe with assurance in our Signs." (an-Naml, 82)
