Assalamualaikum, is it true sunni scholars give 'ta'dil' to narrators who involve in the killing of Husain ra?
1) ‘Umar bin Sa’Ad bin Abi Waqaash
عمر بن سعد بن أبي وقاص مدني ثقة كان يروي عن أبيه أحاديث وروى الناس عنه وهو الذي قتل الحسين قلت كان أمير الجيش ولم يباشر قتله‘Umar bin Sa’d bin Abi Waqaash, trustworthy madinan, narrated from his father narrations and people narrated from him, he is one who killed Husain, [Al Haitsamiy] said “ he is the leader of the army and indirectly involved in killing of him" [Ma’rifat Ats Tsiqat 2/166-167 no 1343].
The word “I said ” is from Al Haitsamiy [one of the editor of Ma’rifat Ats Tsiqat Al Ijliy]. This is mentioned in the footnote of the book Ma’rifat Ats Tsiqat tahqiq Abdul Aliim Al Bastawiy.
Ibnu Hajar said ‘Umar bin Sa’d is among the narrator of Sunan Nasa’iy and said he is shaduq. [Taqriib At Tahdziib Ibnu Hajar no 4937].
2) Syabats bin Rib’iy
شبث بن ربعي من تميم هو كان أول من أعان على قتل عثمان رضي الله عن عثمان وهو أول من حرر الحرورية واعان على قتل الحسين بن عليSyabats bin Rib’iy from Tamiim, he was the first who assist in the killing of Uthman radiallahu ‘anhu, he was the first who was release from Al Haruuriyah and assisted in killing of Husain bin ‘Aliy [Ma’rifat Ats Tsiqat Al Ijliy 1/448 no 714]
Ibnu Hajar said he is among the narrators of Sunan Abu Dawud [Tahdziib At Tahdziib 3/131 no 3203]. Ibnu Hibban praised him and included him in his book, At Tsiqat and he said “yukhti’u” [Ats Tsiqat Ibnu Hibban 4/371].
Ibnu Abi Hatim said in Al Jarh Wat Ta’dil Ibnu Abi Hatim 4/388 no 1695,
Syabats bin Rib’iy narrated from ‘Aliy and Hudzaifah, Muhammad bin Ka’ab dan Sulaiman At Taimiy narrated from him. I heard my father said about it. I asked to him about his matter than he said “his hadith is mustaqim and i have no knowledge of problem about it. He is whom Anas narrated and telah meriwayatkan darinya, and it said not this one
How can these narrators consider as trustworthy when they involved either directly or indirectly with killing of Husain? Is it true Umar bin Sa'ad was force to lead the army by Ubadillah bin Ziyad??
