Title: Imamah of Abdullah & Musa
Post by: Hadrami on March 24, 2015, 12:51:52 PM
Since shia scholar Hasan al-Nawbkahti said that the majority of shia scholars & respected figures after Ja'far death followed Abdullah bin Ja'far not Musa. Does it mean back they then considered Abdullah as more knowledgeable or the choice was based on other reason?

Ja`far according to all Shia books was the main Imam who narrated the vast majority of knowledge, meaning in his time the Shia should have been the most knowledgeable Shia unlike the succeeding Imams who remained silent and never narrated anything.

Now the Twelvers say that the Shia of Ja`far (who were also Shia of his father), the majority among them went and followed `Abdullah after his father's death, and they never realized that he was not fit for Imamah until later, this proves without the shadow of a doubt that they did not know the identity of their Imams and that they were the ones picking and choosing.
