Read this beautiful hadith which along with a number of other narrations disproves the Rafidi misconception that Sunnis believe that the Messenger of Allah left the Ummah unprepared, not guiding them about the role of a successor after him, this often repeated Rafidi Shubhah has been answered here in detail: http://forum.twelvershia.net/general-sunni-vs-shia/how-could-the-prophet-(saws)-not-appoint-a-successor-best-refutations/msg872/#msg872

“إنما الإمام جنة يقاتل من وراءه ويتقى به”

-The Imaam is NOTHING BUT a shield behind who is fought and used as defence.

(innamaa انما in Arabic is harf hasr i.e. limiting the meaning to exaxtly what follows)
[Bukhari #2797 the book of Jihad, chapter: yuqaatalu min waraail Imaam & Muslim, Sharhu An-Nawaawi #1841, book of leadership, chapter: al Imaamu Junnah]

Imaam Ibn Hajar commented on this hadith saying:

“Meaning he is a cover because he prevents the enemy from harming muslims and prevents muslims from harming each other, and what is meant by Imãm is everybody who oversees the affairs of people and Allah knows best.”

[Fathul Baari commentary on the hadith of Bukhari referenced above]

Imam An-Nawawi commented on the hadith:

The statement of the prophet that the Imãm is a Junnah (Shield) means he is like a cover because he prevents the enemy from harming the Muslims, prevents the people (Muslims and ahludhimah living under the Islamic state) from harming each other and he preserves the sanctity of Islam also, people fear him and avoid his punishment. And the meaning of ‘behind who is fought’ is that we fight together with him against the Kuffar, Bughãt (rebels), the Khawãrij and all other corrupt groups.

[Sharh An-Nawawi ala muslim]

Another pointer is the statement of Imam Shawkani in wablul ghamaam:

ملاك أمر الإمامة وأعظم شروطها وأجل أركانها أن يكون قادرا على تأمين السبل وإنصاف المظلومين من الظالمين ومتمكنا من الدفع عن المسلمين إذا دهمهم أمر يخافونه كجيش كافر أو باغ فإذا كان السلطان بهذه المثابة فهو السلطان الذي أوجب الله طاعته وحرم مخالفته

“The essential perquisite, most important pillar and greatest condition for an Imãm is that he should be able to protect the highways, secure justice for the oppressed from the oppressors, defend the Muslims when there is insecurity like an attack from Kuffaar army or an oppressor. If a Sultan is of this quality then, that is the Sultan whom Allah has commanded us to obey and forbidden us from disobeying him.”

[Wablul Ghamãm]

We therefore ask the Rafidah in particular about their 12th Dajjal like Imam (for only 2 of the 12 Imams they ascribed themselves actually ruled the Muslims):

Is your hidden Imam a ruler?
Does your hidden Imam have an army?
Can your hidden Imam protect himself from anyone LET ALONE protecting your Rawafid?
Can your hidden prevent the Muslims from harming eachother?
Does your Imam have the minimum power to enforce Eid after sighting the moon?

How useless is your hidden Imam if he is not an Imam as per definition of Rasulullah (peace be upon him).

NOTE: Of course the MUSILM Imam Mahdi IS an Imam since his Imamate starts when he starts RULING not when with the age of a little kid, somewhere in a cellar of Samarra'/Iraq since over a millennium. Same goes for Jesus (peace be upon him), whom the Rawafid who are deprived of any intellect compare to their hidden (like Dajjal) Imam, merely because Jesus (AS) is not dead. Well, first of all Jesus went not into permanent occultation, he was RAISED to his Lords INTO the heaven. Secondly, he is not our Imam anyway, no Muslim believes that Jesus is an Imam at this moment. Jesus will be an Imam when he starts RULING, not before.

Salam `Aleykum,

Very good points.

Religion = simple & clear

First of all why are you asking the Rafidah in particular about their 12th Dajjal like Imam??? Why the questions, since you claim to be an Ex Rafidah yourself??? How long have you been a Rafidah??? Were you not familiar with who, why and what you were??? You believe that Shiaism is a religion of satan and a religion of shirk, would you care to explain this to me??? Or are you just all talk???

I am not entertaining retards, I've debated plenty of knowledgable Shias (go on islamic-forum), as for you, you are a kid. So jog on. BTW you brainless Rafidi, I am asking the Rawafid in particular because it is them who have to rething the stupid concept of their useless 12th Imam. It is also a rhetorical question, but I think this is next level for you to understand.
