One Verse, Two Strikes
« on: January 22, 2019, 03:45:44 PM »
Salaam alaykum wa rahmatullah,

Watching a clip from Wesal TV on Facebook, I was astonished by this one verse that is "strike two" for the Shias.  The clip brought up the first; the second point is my own inference.

In Surah An-Noor, regarding the incident of slandering the Mother of the Believers (ra), Allah (swt) says:
"Were it not for the grace and mercy of God on you, in this world and the Hereafter, a grievous penalty would have seized you in that ye rushed glibly into this affair."  (Surah An-Noor verse 14)

1.  Allah's (swt) "Grace and Mercy" were upon those with the Holy Prophet (saw), even the ones who circulated the slander or spread the rumor.  It is because of this "Grace and Mercy" that they did not receive a "grievous penalty" and were given a chance to repent.  Therefore, we can conclude that even the Sahaba (ra) who passed on these rumors were under Allah's Grace and Mercy, let alone the most noble ones among them.

Furthermore, Allah (swt) confirms that the Sahaba (ra), even the ones who participated in this despicable act, are under His Grace and Mercy "in this world and the Hereafter".  Allahu Akbar!

2.  There is a grievous penalty for those who slander the Mothers of the Believers (ra).  Maybe it is time for Shias to stop inserting dubious meanings into the ambiguous verses of the Qur'an and actually reflect on the clear verses.

First of all SHIAS  do not SLANDER the mother of believers. This vicious propaganda based on a malicious agenda is something we need to understand and be careful of.

We have certain individuals from every sect, community and religion who behave differently. And because of this one must not accuse the entire sect, community and religion for this.

I have already put forward and mentioned the opinion along with a fatwa of Khamenei and Sistani regarding this which certain anti Shias, like this one, keeps ignoring.

The only difference is that we categorise and take people and individuals based on their character, performance and achievement. We judge them by their actions.

This is why we have a lot of respect for Aisha and Hafsa. But we do not see and consider them as the best out of all the wives of the Prophet s.a.w.

That's the only difference. And I believe it is time for certain Sunnis to stop acting blind or being bias or prejudice and start being honest, just and fair on taking and judging people.

Whatever you said makes sense and I second that.  I do not need the fatwa by Ayatollah Khamenei or Ayatollah Sistani.  I have been to enough Shi'i mosques and gatherings to know that not everyone is in the habit of cursing the Mother of the Believers (ra).

Again, I appreciate your respect for the Mothers of the Believers (ra) and I appreciate your response (for directly addressing the subject).  I am not concerned about the "best" of them; I am wondering if Shias realize that those with Allah's (swt) Grace and Mercy, in this world and in the Hereafter, are beyond their criticism.  And the verse is talking about the group (of Sahaba) who circulated the rumors; people like Abu Bakr (ra), Umar (ra), Uthman (ra), etc, were far above that group.

How much more honesty do you want?  You made a few statements and based on my experiences at the Shi'i mosques, I gave you the benefit of doubt without putting any hurdles in your way.

Having experience by going to a few Shia mosques don't give you an exact picture of the entire Shia community globally. And neither does it tell you what the Shia faith and belief is all about.

It is not Aisha and Hafsa, but in fact it is Hadrat Aisha (ra) and Hadrat Hafsa (ra) to begin with. Yes people make mistakes and errors but when it comes to the Prophet's s.a.w wives they are not just the Prophet's s.a.w wives but are also Ummahatul Momineen, Mothers of believers.

They have a special status which has been given to them directly by Allah Himself. So their (Aisha and Hafsa) affairs with their Husband  (Muhammad s.a.w) has to do with Allah and his Messenger s.a.w. Yes we can talk and discuss about certain matters but with keeping their dignity and respect in mind.

There are people out there who slander, abuse, swear, mouth off etc but they do not represent the Shia faith or the Shia community at large. May Allah give them hidayat in understanding and respecting others especially the Mothers of Believers.

I will tell you my experience about a few, not Sunni but Shia Mosques and their communities since I worked as  Maulana/Molvi. 😊

You ain't representative of entire Shia creed are you ?, so correction goes as :
"I do not SLANDER the mother of the believers" instead of "SHIA do not SLANDER the mother of the believers"

#__Sunni of Prophet Muhammad__#

may be this is the occasion for me asking a question, provided you dont respond in long essays.
how can a sunni believe in your claim of respecting AISHA R.A when
1. there are scholars oike khomayni whom majority of shias followed, every  letter and dot and slanders the mother of believers in a manner in  manner, that my hand tremble to even type
2. then he also explains there is something like taqqiya mujarat (if i remember the name correctly)wherein you can lie to lure
3.we also have your classical scholar qummi who explicitly calls her fahishaa..... aoozubillaha
wasn't it for umar r.a , that islam entered persia ?
