As Salamu Alaikum,
I am facing difficulties to find the some important info.
>> Did Ali(r.a) assisted during the khilafa of Abu BAkr(r.a),Umar(r.a) & Uthman(r.a), took part in battle with his Zulfikar ?
{as I have known,
** he took part in Yamama,from where he got mother of Ibn Hanafiyya(r),
** he helped Umar(ra) in ruling- "if there was not Ali","Ali is the best Qazi" ; and also in shia book Biharul Anwar-"Ali is mawla" while Umar(r.a) making him judge between 2 people
** He and his sons(r.a) guarded Uthman(r.a) while he was attacked
But I need them urgent with references available.

I read this in Imam Suyuti's history of the Calipahs.

I told those 3 points above to a Shia person, without mentioning reference of Kitab.
But I'm sure that Ali(r.a) took part in the battle of Yamama and there he got the mother of Ibn Hanafiyya(r) !
I need a good amount of reference about Ali(r.a)'s assistance to the khalifa_s.
I think there was a thread here, discussing about Ali(r.a) making his sons - Hassan(r.a) & HUssain(r.a) to guard Uthman(r.a), but I failed to find that! :(
