As Salamu Alaikum.
We traditionally see in our subcontinent that, A horse, adorned by flower is compulsory in the shia procession, they call it DulDul- The ride of HUssain raziallahu anhu
As far I have tried to know details, I have found that, Duldul is actually Arabic-Yafur, which was a Mule! I read about Yafur in Al Bidaya bokk that- it was the mule of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, which did suicide after Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam passed away.
Then, further I read that, there was no yafur, according to sources of Ulama, even Ibn kathir(r.a.) doubted it- https://www.saaid.net/Doat/Zugail/131.htm
So it's totally complex now, what was the ride of HUssayn r.a.?!

I like the donkey worship rituals, I'm sure Husayn's horse appreciates it.
