Seriously bro? I mean, is this a serious question? I can go to the local Hindu area of my town and ask them if that's idol worship and they would agree and smile. I mean, these accursed Shia Mushriks have invented a prayer where you ask the the creation in the MOST IMPORTANT ritual (worship) in Islam, which is the Sujood. Then they think by calling it "Tawassul" suddenly Shirk will turn into Tawheed. Shi* will stay shi* even if you telling yourself that it is gold. As the scholars say: the terms do not define a matter, rather the REALITY of it definses it.

Oh, I was convinced since part 1, but generally both brothers have said in the past they don't require all Shias as non-Muslims.

I was wanting their view on this sort of behaviour since it gives Shirk a new name.
