Panjtan is a Farsi/Urdu word stemming from five (panj), paak means pure/clean. The Panjtan are Hazrat Mohammad (saw) Hazrat Ali (ra), Hazrat Fatima (ra), Hazrat Hassan(ra), and Hazrat Hussain(ra).

It's in sunni and shia hadith, it is definitely a sahih hadith.

Narrated Aisha:
One day the Prophet (PBUH&HF) came out afternoon wearing a black cloak (upper garment or gown; long coat), then al-Hasan Ibn Ali came and the Prophet accommodated him under the cloak, then al-Husain came and entered the cloak, then Fatimah came and the Prophet entered her under the cloak, then Ali came and the Prophet entered him to the cloak as well. Then the Prophet recited: "Verily Allah intends to keep off from you every kind of uncleanness O' People of the House (Ahlul-Bayt), and purify you a perfect purification (the last sentence of Verse 33:33)."

Sahih Muslim, Chapter of virtues of companions, section of the virtues of the Ahlul-Bayt of the Prophet (PBUH&HF), 1980 Edition Pub. in Saudi Arabia, Arabic version, v4, p1883, Tradition #61.

^ That Hadith you quoted from Sahih Muslim is weak. It's unusable.

Who declared it weak? It is in sahih Muslim and the majority of Sunnis say that all hadith in that book are sahih.

Bring its chain Mr.Sahih, let's take a look at it, or does Sahih Muslim have no chains?

Akhi, NO ONE says that, a lot of ahadeeth are repeated in Muslim to strengthen the original hadeeth quoted.  I.e., he would quote an authentic hadeeth, then 3 or 4 ahadeeth of various authenticity to corroborate the original hadeeth.  Therefore, there ahadeeth in Muslim that have weak chains, but corroborate the original report.  One of the most famous examples is the hadeeth of "Listen and obey the rulers even if they whip your back and steal your wealth."  The famous hadeeth of hearing and obeying the ruler is mentioned, along with three or four corroborating report, one which includes "whip your back and steal your wealth", a report which has a weak chain.  Imam Muslim رحمه الله included it to corroborate the original hadeeth he reported, the one which says "Hear and obey the rulers."

Inshallah that helps clear things up, والله أعلم
