Alsalam alaykum,
Please provide us with ideas on how to make the site and forums more popular.
Also, please remember to share article links on social media and other blogs and sites.
Barak Allah feekum.

Inviting at shiachat (again) or islamicforum.
-
By discussing and debating with a positve attitude and in a pleasant manner. The discussions should be based on reality and facts and looked at through sense and logic, along with reasoning and balancing both sides of the argument.
This should be done through being honest and with justice and fairness. The discussions/arguments should be equally balanced and must not go off topic, regardless of who you are.
All this should be free of sarcasm and abuse. And the use of authority and power by the moderators shouldn't be based on favouritism and taking sides. Locking certain threads and acusing members, not by due course but by how you want and feel shouldn't be done.
Double standards shouldn't be practiced regardless of who you are. Put forward your principals, rules and regulations and then apply and stick to them. There shouldn't be any ifs or buts.
Reason for edit: removed the blank space.

i thinks ummah.com is one of the largest sunni forum for english speaking people now a days. asking their mod like abu mubarak to make sticky thread for twelvershia.net would boost this site and forum popularity to whole new dimension.
-
By promoting it via fb timelines n pages.

"Allah gave Wilayat as fadak, but nor Ali(r.a) nor his sons were serious about it!
Fadak was Right, but Ahle BAit never did anything for it"
____ These are called Double Standard :-X
What you have said is off topic. Please stick to the subject. If you want to discuss what double standards are then start a thread and I will surely put you straight in an instant.
-
Let's keep it at advices indeed.

Members from that website will lower the quality of this site. One of their most popular members was "martyred" for da`esh, so if that's the type of image you want to give, go ahead I guess.
-
We need more knowledgeable members whether Sunni or Shia, that would make the website better but I dunno about how it'd make it more popular.
-
Advertising on popular websites is definitely a good idea.
As for inviting "knowledgeable" Shia members - the issue is that the more "knowledgeable" they are, the more extremist and biased they tend to be. Take a look at their popular refutation sites - like shiapen e.t.c.
And at the end of the day, what are they going to bring to the table?
Mass quoting of weak and fabricated sources in the books of Ahlul Sunnah? They've been doing that for years.
Rehashing the exact same arguments over and over again - how many more mut'a threads do we really need?
Are they going to quote from their own books? Most of them are too scared to do that because they know that no Sunni will take them seriously.
We had knowledgeable guys like Nader Zaveri - but the result was the following:
http://www.revivingalislam.com/2010/09/hadeeth-17000-verses-in-quraan-saheeh.html
He tried his very best to go against the 'ijma of many of the Shias top scholars, and tried desperately to revise history with his own twist!
Rather than admitting that this is an authentic narration according to Shia standards, and accepting that many of their famous scholars believe in Tahreef, he goes to great lengths to find any excuse to reject it.
I think the way this forum is is good enough - knowledgeable guys from Ahlul Sunnah posting up Shia beliefs and refuting them.
The open minded and balanced of the Shias will read this, and, at the very least, ponder for a bit.
This is how it worked for me - I bounced back and forth from a Sunni site, to a Shia site, comparing arguments, and wound up at the conclusion that Shiaism was wrong, and Ahlul Sunna were right.
As for the "knowledgeable" Shias - they prefer to post in their own forums, and on their own websites, and they have been advised by their own scholars not to engage in debate.
Wallahu A'lam
-
Banning Ameen would help :P
-
I like how nader zaveri debates with other sunni's. He is honest and has his own views. I remember one of his articles where he showed that Umar actually did marry umm kulthum, and you can geuss how the other shiites replied at comment section :p
He is a whateveri like Hani, I geuss

Honesty & 12erism are opposite to each other. You can say sometimes Nadir is honest. 12er with knowledge + honesty = 12er no more. That should be the natural result.
Hani is a syafi'i, not whateveri :D
-
He's right I'm mostly Shafi`i, just not always, I gave the example of ibn al-Jawzi once.
I just noticed that Nader's blog has been kinda dead? Why has he stopped posting? Did he get married : P
-
Maybe he is busy writing his multi-volume book on Shia and Sunni Hadith Science.
-
Well, for a start:
1) You, Farid brother can post more often and engage in our discussions. :P
2) Invite whatever is left from HCY to sign up here.
-
I agree with member imam ali.
-
Have more detailed lectures like the one you did on the 12er Shia ilm al Rijal. Cover more details on the 12er Shia ahadith books such as Al Kafi, Man la yahduruhu al-Faqih, Tahdhib al-Ahkam and Al-Istibsar. Also cover the biography of the major 12er Shia scholars such as Al Kuylani, Shaykh Saduq, Shaykh Mufid, Shaykh Tusi, Sharif Murtaza, Mullah Majalisi etc.
-
Brothers and sisters that have accounts on other forums, please share links to our forums. Also, please share a link to our recent Prohibition of Mutah series: http://twelvershia.net/2015/02/12/prohibition-mutah-marriages
I believe that the more members we have the better. The bad ones will eventually get filtered out with time.
-
@ Rationalist: Mmmm... Maybe in the future. I've been tied up recently. =)

I would like to add something to this, not just the 12r Shias and their books but also material from the Ahle Sunnah and their schools of thought, Aqaid and authentic books should also be put forward, so the audience, viewers and members can look at both sided of each and every argument and compare the schools of thought and make up their own mind.
Well it all depends on what is the purpose of this site, this forum??? If it is to expose Shiaism and brand and label it as the religion of Satan, then there is no such question of how to improve. But if the purpose it to show that Ahle Sunnah is the true face and forum of Islam then, material needs to be put forward and discussed to show that Ahle Sunnah is the true face of Islam through comparison.
-
Well!!! when Shia people make argument about books of Ahlus Sunnah..... those are also discussed in the articles of this site, as I have seen

It's not about Shia people making arguments about Sunni books, it's about certain material with in Ahle Sunnah authentic books. It's about both sides to an argument and story. It's about why each side sticks to and stands by which ever side.

For that you don't need this site. You can go to many other places to get that.

When you show the disagreement, that disagreement shows what the author thinks is correct. Brother as I stated before in the first century of Islam there were over 130 different schools of thought. However, today we are down to about only 10.

Problem is that u can get lay sunni and shia (who merely copy and paste things without reading/understanding)
I try to avoid commenting myself these days just stick to reading. But i'm sure Brother AbuMuslim is aware of that Uncle on fb that had to be deleted from the group cos things were getting heated.
Maybe videos/Short Clips/Talks on some of these articles would help.
Ie Quick summary of the article in a short video, then say at the end of the video, for more information and research on this topic, see attached link below/side(wherever it is on youtube :p)
Keep it short, so its not a long video for people to watch and can be simple enough for the lay shia/sunni to understand but also has enough detail to intrigue the more inquisitive mind and direct them to the links to articles/forum.
-
Invite him back to the group on some conditions (strict ones). A sunni wouldn't have problems with being calm.
Or invite him to here.
-
Can we have a chat section on the forum?
-
Maybe... if we figure out how.
-
Haha, ask shiachat :p
AbuMuslimKhorashani ?
-
ShiaChat uses IPB. This website uses SMF. Totally different systems. I love the design of this site, but I gotta say that IPB is the superior system. Can y'all get it and still make it the same colors/logo? This place is hard to use on my phone.
-
Yes design is perfect, especially the "new" bar behind unread topics :p
-
ShiaChat has a professional big forum, we on the other hand are just 3-4 guys who started this thing without any experience at all... If we had some expert web designers and whatnot, we could have made it look and function better.
-
forum doesn't become popular overnight, it can take years if they are designed on a specific subjects..because domain name and content matters a lot, if you look at any popular forums you will find majority visitors participate in general and news sections because every one can express his/her views easily.. forums like this one which can attract only those visitors who are interested in shia sunni debates..couple of suggestions to attract visitors:
Try to visit and participate on those forums that relate to this subject and create valuable posts that contain a signature advertising this forum.
try to become partner with other fb/twitter/googleplus groups admin who have same identity as this forums, and advertise in those groups.
Create articles with information that you just haven't been able to find on internet, or perhaps something with your own touch.
be persistent
-
I will look for a nice chat mod, insha'Allah.

Why is Taha still Other and not Sunni? Please fix this guy. ;)

Not without his permission bruv.

Forced daw'wah, Farid? :P
Unlike you and not the way of the Sunnah. ;)
-
Only God can fix that :P
-
Still?! I've only had it listed as other for like 3 days. Before that it said Shia. It is other because I still hate the guts of a few Sahabah which disqualifies me from the jamaat :P

Which, Sahabas?
And, hating certain Sahabas (RA) does not mean you can't or won't be a Sunni. A weird one, but still far away from Shiaism.
Sort of like Rationalist.
-
Muawiyah, Hind, Abu Sufyan, etc.
Rationalist seems very rational :)

Read some of our comments in that other thread regarding the first 2.
He is, most of the time.

Yeah, I just realized that :)

Barak Allah feekum.
If u wish to promote this site on the basis of Sunni/Shia debates only than it would take decades i guess.
I advice u introduce a chat room where queries can be answered instantly by senior members.
Off-topic discussion should be promoted as well.
-
I will pay for a year of IPB (software used by HCY & ShiaChat) if you guys would be willing to switch platforms ;)
-
Muawiyah, Hind, Abu Sufyan, etc.
Rationalist seems very rational :)
It's obvious that you hate Banu Umayah & this has nothing to do with the fact that they fought Rasulullah shallallahu alaihi wasallam, otherwise you will hate Aqil bin Abi Talib RA too because he also fought him and was on the side of people who tried to kill him shallallahu alaihi wasallam.
For you not hating Aqil is irrational, don't you think?
-
With all due respect, leave me alone.
I've discussed this with 4-5 different people on the forum and changed my opinion.

Can we have a chat section on the forum?
We have now chat mod installed.
Right now testing it. Hope it works fine.
-
^ Sweet.
Now can you find a mod to make the forum mobile-friendly for us cell phone internet people? :P
-
Lol Taha, that's too much.
Instead of doing that, you should add mute and block option etc...
EDIT: Now I see the tools option.
-
there are 2 themes installed here. the other one is mobile friendly. you can change that from profile>modify profile>look&layout
the theme is called reseller
-
Have you gotten the group chat to work?
-
You can use Global "Chatroom" instead.

Just installed a mod. It automatically shows the mobile compatible theme (i.e. reseller) if it detects the visitor is using mobile device. So Enjoy!

Has rafidi terminator channel perhaps they can advertise this forum too?

Before discussing how to make TwelverShia.net more popular, it should first be discussed what the vision for the website is. There are many directions that this community could go in, and they all have different implications. Right now, I see perhaps 3 different options, although I am sure that others exist.
Vision 1 - TwelverShia.net should be a large and recognized "brand" in Sunni-Shia issues. For this vision, TwelverShia.net would probably want to expand and diversify. Perhaps, a YouTube channel should be established with lectures, propaganda videos, etc. Likewise, there should be other diversifications into various other Social Media venues such as Facebook, Twitter, etc.
Vision 2 - TwelverShia.net should be a segment of a larger project that is aimed at improving things for Muslims. In this case, the same diversification should occur, but with a different purpose. Perhaps some partnerships could be made with other groups such as a general purpose Islamic forum, or various lecturers that can give lectures on this topic.
Vision 3 - TwelverShia.net should remain much the same as it is, with a Web-Site full of articles and a forum with Sunni-Shia discussions. With this vision, the key is advertising, advertising, advertising. Advertise all over the place. Have everybody tell their friends, their family, etc. Create some fliers that can be handed out.
What do the creators of this website see as the vision for it? Where do they want this community to be in 5 years? What do they want to have accomplished?
-
What TS also could do is, giving geusts the ability to post once a comment on the forum. The next time they will have to register, if they want to post another comment ( for example backing up their previous comment).
-

How could this be enforced? What stops a guest from posting many comments? And I think that this would lead to a lot of spam and other inappropriate comments maybe.
-
Yeah, probably a bad idea.
-
New section "ex-Shias"
http://forum.twelvershia.net/ex-shias/
-
Is it possible to move topics of ex shias to that section? The ex shias could send their articles to the admin, which will save a lot of work for the admin :)
-
This might sound weird, but a more appealing/shia friendly layout :P
-
I agree. I have no idea why Hani chose this header. =/
The site layout is awesome though. Any disagreement will be perma-banned. (Cuz i worked on it. ;p)
-
I agree. I have no idea why Hani chose this header. =/
I don't know, I'd stick to what Hani chose; those Lebanese guys have style... 8)

By banning those so called Sunnis who use I'll manners and foul language at the Shia faith and it's members and think it's OK to say and behave in that way. Take some precious time of yours out and see the language used against me. 😊
-
By banning outright LIARS and people who act like Trolls when confronted with .......FACTS!
And then cry like babies as if they are innocent of it.
