Title: Transcribe lectures on shias

Assalamu Aleykum,

Is there a project to transcribe audio lectures on shias http://twelvershia.net/2015/10/05/lectures-on-shias/ ?

As you know, when we need to translate your articles in other language it's better to have a text when english is not our native language.

Sounds tough akhi. We are a small group of individuals binded together with a common goal. Maybe we will do such a thing in the future.

The thought of others translating our material is a great compliment. Thank you.

I know you're a small team, but putting up audio lectures/discussions surely is doable?

Your articles are a knock-out, but many users can't be arsed just reading long array of paragraphs, and prefer to taken it in audibly.

Yeah. We are doing the lectures, yes. However, the brother is asking for transcripts. That would be a lot more time consuming.

Yes, I know.

I was strictly meant to consider the audio lectures instead of offering a transcript.

You, and Hani should get together, and do a video lecture together.

Now, there is a thought! :)

It'd be cool (when TS grows iA) to start a translation program were people could translate videos/books/lectures on their free time from Arabic/Farsi/Urdu. If enough people would join, then translations wouldn't take very long. It would help combat propaganda like 'Then I was Guided' which was translated into 40+ languages years ago.

@ Imam Ali: Me and Hani are barely useful on solo mode. What makes you think we'd be remotely functional when we are together? ;p


@ Bolani: Wallah brother, I have seen more baraka in small groups than in large groups that have little heart.

@Farid Good point, Ima make a thread here and on Ummah forum and hopefully we'll be able to get some people together and hopefully start a small translation and video saving campaign.
