Muta is neither forbidden nor is it allowed they way Shiites have allowed it.

The Quran reveals it but with explicit conditions. And Malakat aymanihim has two forms, marriage and muta, and so in most places refers to Muta, but the "except who malakat aymanihim" in verse of Muta refers their to the ones they are married to and not slaves. It's a way of saying you can have sex with who you are married to of course, but also, saying it's a form of who their oath give reign over (sexually).

And it's oath to God and the Messenger and those who hold authority from us, as well, to all believers, as well, to your society, and to all humanity.

And there is two forms, according to the verse of Muta of this. The first is marriage, the 2nd is Muta. Then the following verse explains and emphasizes the terms of Muta and why to do it.

The only hadith that has it right really is from Ibn Abbas, it's allowed it certain conditions.  These days, as career and prime strength financially and mentally is way later, we ought to see that a lot of people fall under those conditions and it's too much to ask all humans to forbid their sexual drive.

And Prophet doing it would be only for relief of haraj on it for believers and also showing a way of getting to know women before marrying them is a possible intention.

But marriage is the prime and mode most people ought to adopt, and the verse after shows, the primary reason and conditions for Muta.

Slavery was never and will never be allowed in Islam.

There are of course ahadith that confirm the one from Ibn Abbas in Shiites sources, but Fuqaha don't rely on them.

The problem is referring to Quran is just a theory, in practice it doesn't happen.

Hadiths that outright permit contradict Quran and hadiths that outright forbid it contradict Quran.

The Quran allows it but with specific conditions.

Without getting into details , you have to identify , what group you belong to .
All sunnis are wrong in banning it and likewise all shias are wrong in allowing it generally, you can't be the lone upholder of truth identify yourself and we may proceed

They know the score. Their aim and purpose is just to paint a picture about the Shia community and its belief on it. That's their prime concern just about in every matter. They want to tell about the Shia belief and faith but in their words and they want to show a picture by their painting.

What these people don't understand is that Islam, Shiism, Sunnism, Wahabism/Salafism, etc, is all undefined.

They mean sort of something but at the same sort of nothing. 

We fight over what to attribute the label whether from insider or outsider perspective, it's not a reality, and is undefined.

Islam like all other religions are false.  Mohammad (s) is a true Messenger of God and the Quran is a direct revelation from God to Gabriel (a) to Mohammad (s) but Islam is a false religion.

Islam doesn't mean what it meant during Mohammad (s) time, and Mohammad (s) was neither Shiite or Sunni, despite the creed of twelve Navigating successors a firmly established truth in both the Quran and Sunnah.

These titles don't apply to Abraham (a) or Moses (a) or Mohamad (s). Mohammad (s) was not a Muslim, but it's true he submitted to God fully and was upright.

Till people understand titles have become meaningless in this age as titles became meaningless in the past, and most of those claiming it falsely representing it,  then we can't unite and move forward.

There is Islam as is, and submission to God as it's meant to be, and the difference between these two today, is the difference between sky and earth, night and day.
