Al-Salaamu-Alaykum....
I need you to explain is being a Ahl e Bayt member of Prophet PBUH has anything to do with Sadqa ?
i.e only those are ahl e bayt for whom recieving charity is forbidden as mentioned in the Hadith-e-Ghadir....whenever we want to argue Shia on this topic they come up with two questions..
- Show us that wives of Prophet never recieved charity
- Wife of Ali AS Umm e Banin recieved charity/Zakat while Fatimah AS didn't..
Anyone plz clarify it Prophet's PBUH wives and wife of Ali also didn't recieved any kind of Zakat/Charity cz i am unable to find any relevant article...
The marital relationship between Prophet(saws) and wives(as) is not the simple husband and wife relationship, because the wives of Prophet(saws) are still his wives. They will be his wives even in hereafter. That's why it was prohibited for them to marry after Prophet(saws) died. However a normal Ummati, his wife can marry another person after her husband dies.
As for charity being Prohibited on Ahlelbayt, then its not just restricted to family of Ali(ra), this ruling encompasses all the aal(family) of Prophet(saws) which even included families of Jafar(ra), Aqeel, Abbas.
We read in Shia book regarding the ruling on Zakat:
وتحرم الزكاة الواجبة علي بني هاشم جميعا من ولد أمير المؤمنين علي بن أبي طالب عليه السلام، وجعفر، وعقيل، والعباس رضي اللهعنهم
Zakat(obligatory charity) is haram for all the Bani Hashim, from the progeny of Imam Ali(as), Ja’far bin abi Talib, Aqil bin abi Talib, and Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib, may Allah (swt) be pleased with them. (Al Muqniah by Shaikh Mufid, Page 243)
Now I will list out some strong evidences which establishes that acceptance of charity was even forbidden on wives of Prophet(saws), which implies that even they are included in Ahlelbayt mentioned in Hadeeth al-Thaqalayn.
We read in Musannaf ibn Abi shaybah (chapter Laa tahillu al-sadqa ala bani hashim)
ابن أبي مليكة أن خالد بن سعيد بعث إلى عائشة ببقرة من الصدقة فردتها وقالت إنا آل محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم لا تحل لنا الصدقة
Narrated with sahih sanad From Ibn Abu Malika [narrated] that: Khaled Ibn Saeed sent a cow from the Sadaqah to Aisha, so she sent it back and said: We are the Aal(family) of Muhammad(saws) the sadaqah is not permissible for us. [Fadhl Ahlelbayt, page 9 ; Isnad Sahih as per shaykh Abdul Muhsin bin Hammad Al-’Abbad Al-Badr].
https://youpuncturedtheark.files.wordpress.com/2018/05/fadl-ahlelbayt-page-9.jpgIn following tradition Prophet(saws) spoke with ‘Aisha(ra) regarding her female servant, this is how it goes:
Narrated ‘Aisha: I intended to buy buraira but her masters stipulated that her Wala should be for them. When the Prophet was told about it, he said to me, “Buy and manumit her, as the Wala’ is for the liberator.” Once buraira was given some meat, and the Prophet asked, “What is this?” I said, “It has been given to buraira in charity.” He said, “It is sadaqa for her but a gift for us.” buraira was given the option (to stay with her husband or to part with him). [Sahi bukhari, Book #47, Hadith #752]
Comment: Notice Prophet(saws) was talking with ‘Aisha(ra) and he told her “For us it is a gift” which means that for the Prophet(saws) and ‘Aisha(ra) both, he’ll consider it a gift since they do not take Sadaqah(charity), but for Buraira it is a Sadaqah. He didn’t say for me its gift, but for you and buraira it’s Sadaqa.
