"I leave behind for you two weighty things, which if you hold onto, you will never go astray...the Quran and my Ahlulbayt" - Musnad Ibn Rawayh (al-Albani classes Isnaad *independently* as Hasan, and Matn as authentic, as does Al-Arnaut, Ibn Hajar and others.

You have a choice to make, to accept the words of Hani, who is the main author of the articles on TSN over this matter, an individual who has confessed to having a variety of beliefs in Aqeedah, including Mutazili view points, or you can accept the verdicts of your foremost Ulema in Hadith.

Here is a summary of claims made in weakening the traditions:

1. Kathir b.Zayd, who transmits this from Muhammed b. umar .b Ali b. Abi Talib, from his father, on the authority of Ali b. Abi Talib is allegedly weak because scholars debated over him. While many authenticated him and saw no problem in him, a number mentioned there is some weakness in his retention. However, there are many narrators who due to this criticism are lowered from the standard of Saheeh, to a Hasan level.

Ibn Hajar , Al-Albani, Al-Arnaut and the majority of Muhadditheen have thus collated everything mentioned about Kathir b.Zayd, and regard him as Hasan-ul-Hadith. Dhahabi too, would collate everything said and regard much weaker narrators as 'Hasan-ul-Hadith.

2. Kathir b.Zayd is not alone in narrating this. There are dozens of chains of narrators, with at least half a dozen being unique and containing narrators not disparaged for being Rawafidh, nor liars, nor forgers, but questions marks due to retention or tadlees. These chains individually suffer from defects but when collectively taken, worries about retention are solved , and Al-Albani and Al-Arnaut have graded some of these chains as 'Hasan due to Shawahid'. Hani, the author of these articles, again has refuted Al-Albani and Al-Arnaut over this.

3. Furthermore, there are chains whereby major Ulema, such as Imam at-Tahawi, has graded 'Saheeh' by chain. This is because he believes Habib b.Abi Thabit heard from Abu Tufayl. Furthermore, Habib not only narrates the version from Abu Tufayl to Zayd b. Arqam, he narrates it from many intermediaries in many other chains, which would make it seem unlikely that he concealed sources, despite giving his connection to Zayd b.Arqam through many people.

It doesn't suit the The religious deceivers, whose religion preaches them to deceive, to claim that others have been deceived.

Anyone who is interested in this matter can just look up these two sources, They will get a sufficient response:

This issue is between truth and falsehood, light and darkness, love and envy, it's not a technical debate lol.
"Is it so bad, then, to be misunderstood? Pythagoras was misunderstood, and Socrates, and Jesus, and Luther, and Copernicus, and Galileo, and Newton, and every pure and wise spirit that ever took flesh. To be great is to be misunderstood.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson, Self-Reliance
